It sounds like it may "think" it has a paper jam. Brother's are famous for this. Try opening the cover, pulling out the ink cartridge and see if there is a piece of paper jamed anywhere in the printer (you may have to open other doors). If this doesn't work, turn it off and recheck very carefully.

Good Luck

I'm assuming you already have ink and paper in the printer. Turn the power off your printer. Shut down your computer. Re-start both - this is often the fastest way of fixing this in our house. If you e-mail the document to your Yahoo mail or hotmail address, you can access it from school tomorrow as well.
Good Luck!

For now, have a quick run over to Kinko's to print the document. Or, email it to a friend to print out and pick it up tonight or in the morning.

Open up the printer properties and see what it shows. Could it be you're out of ink?

Go to Control panel, click on printers, then on your printer. THEN click on HELP, then TROUBLESHOOTING, then deep clean or run through the Q and A's so select some other problem.

Follow the instructions. It probably needs the in jets cleaned. Mine did and works great now.

I agree with the above answers, i also think, just to make sure, u can reinstall the printer driver. This usually doesthe trick. Gd luck with the paper!

Unplug the printer and let it be for 5 minutes and then try it again, it will reset itself and should work. Good luck.
