An AP Ipsos poll found 1 in 4 americans expect the second coming in 2007. They expect they'll be sucked up to heaven, leaving all the naughty people here on earth. Cars will suddenly become driverless causing traffic accidents, airliners will instantly become pilotless and plunge into the ground, and stuff like that.
Does this make any sense to you? Are fully 25% of americans a couple cans short of a six pack?

Mike O - Having six cans makes it all clear doesn't it? Good answer.

The 25% number makes sense to me.
I figure Dubya fully supports the top 10% most affluent citizens in America. Add 25% of Americans as delusional zealots and you get Dubya's approval rating: 35%.
It fits perfectly.

That is a fairly good scenario of that point in time. Conservative, and non Conservative Christians alike will be caught away suddenly when God decides that the end of this church age has come to an end. Yes, there will be plenty of chaos at that point in time. While I seriously doubt that most aircraft will just fall out of the sky because of their automatic and ground based control systems, it could get a bit hairy for some people. Don't forget, we also believe that the nurseries will suddenly become empty as well. Are "you" ready?

First, never trust a poll.
Second, It's called belief. You can choose to believe it or not it's your choice. However it's rude to make fun of another person's beliefs.
Third, not all Christians believe in the rapture. Only a certain sect do. So even many of those who say the second coming may be this year (which I do not, there is still too much stuff I don't own) may not believe in the rapture.

I'm just glad that I'm a Christian and know where I'm going when I die. I'm glad that I have faith in a very real God. As far as the rapture, nobody knows when it will happen, only God knows this. Making critical remarks of conservative Christians is serving no purpose whatsoever and that is exactly what you are doing. Does that make any sense to you or do you need to drink a couple of cans and ponder it a while?

or could it be that the questioner is kind of short of a six pack?
no one is forcing you to believe anything as you should have enough sense to make up your own mind about this and other things, actually no one knows the time of the rapture and many people don't even believe in it , but if it just happens to be true where will you be then????

Your source says it was a telephone poll of 1000 people. It does not say the geographic location of those polled. I think 25% is an extraordinarily high number. They must have polled a very small geographic area. Christianity is divided on the issue of whether or not there will even be a rapture let alone putting a date on it.

I don't know if it's this year but it's coming I would say in the next 50 years. I think some more things have to happen with Russia and Iran uniting according to prophecy stuff I've listened to and read.
It is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement (Heb 9:27)...are you ready?

The trick to earn a lot of money with paid surveys is simple, you need to join as many survey companies as you can. Check out this site for a list of legit survey sites based on payout: http://www.clicksurveys.net
I am earning from $2500 to $3500 each month by completing surveys online. Good money for 1-2 hours of work each day.

No one knows when the Rapture will occur, and true Christians do not proclaim to know this. But get with the program, because it is going to happen and it wil not be so funny to those left behind.
Planes without pilots will be of no concern or much of anything else

It was also predicted 100's and thousands would be killed instantly right before the second coming and guess what? It has happened in the last 6 years so anything is possible and guess what again? WE have no control of it. Amazing but true.

No man knows when, but in the twinkling of an eye. Christians try to live so that they are ready whenever God's judgement is visited on the Earth. Read the Bible. It is as you describe.
