Well, FIRST determine the SCALE you want the buildings to be in... (eg: 1 inch = 1 foot)... sketch your buildings, and then put the paper layout over the cardboard and cut it out.

You can assemble with masking tape or white glue with balsa-reinforcement.

I use the light cardboard from the back of legal-pads and card-stock. I have built hundreds of buildings in 1/160 scale for my N-scale Model Railroad... some are just representations until I can build a more permanent structure.
