Determine SATA??

Question

Can somebody please guide me as how best to determine if my Dell Optiplex GX270 is capable of SATA 1.5 or SATA 3.0?

I looked on the website for your computer and it doesnt say whether its 1.5 or 3.0, it does say its dual channel sata, but thats all......
Im going to guess that since this is a pentium 4, and they didnt list the spec, that its an older 1.5.........

I don't see anything in the specs that list the SATA 3 Gbyt per second interface so I'm guessing that it is 1.5 Gbyt (which are standard for a lower end system). You're connection slot on the MB will actually tell you what it is (SATA I or SATA II). The SATA II (3 Gbyt/sec) HD is backward compatible; use the jumper to set it to SATA I. Don't use a SATA I in a SATA II interface.
