I am looking to take a course at a local community college during the summer to get ahead. Will this course count as an honors course or just a regular course on my transcript?

It depends on your high school. Check with your high school counselor to find out what your school policy is.

What's more important is what a college will do with that class. When you put it on your college application it will be weighted like an AP course. Some colleges will even give you two high school semesters "worth" of AP credit for a one semester college course.

Congratulations! It's not easy going to college when you're in high school. You have a head start on your school mates when it comes to college application!

that just counts as a regular course if your taking a high school classes...

the 'AP' classes or advanced placement classes are the ones that are offered in high schools.

in high school i took AP spanish.. they basically prepare you for the AP test, which if passed, will give you the college credits for the class... you should talk to you high school counselor to see what is offered at your school...

by potential of 'count form as' i anticipate you decide directly to be attentive to how your college will weight them. it somewhat is as much as them. each and every severe college has their own weighting device, it extremely is why faculties ask for unweighted GPA on the 4.0 scale. yet as long as you took those training from a regionally authorized college, earned a C or greater in them, and the college you are going to later delivers an analogous type, they'll flow them.
