Absolutely it is possible. My daugher is 3 1/2 months old and has been teething for a couple of weeks. The average child begins around 6 months, but they can start as early as two months. I have even heard my father (doctor) say that babies are born with front teeth (very rare, though).
Slight fever, difficulty eating or sleeping, excessive drooling or gas, fist, blankets, toys in mouth are all signs of teething. Follow your instinct, they are correct.
Even though they are starting this early, we still may not see teeth for several months. The symptoms may come and go each day, as well.
Good luck with your little one.

I would say yes he is teething. He should be drooling more too. If you have any of the teething toys that are filled with a liquid put them in the freezer and then give them to him . The cold toy makes their mouth fill better. My son cut four teeth when he turned four months all at the same time so no your baby is not to young. They sometimes get really fussy . It all depends on the baby. I hope yours has an easy time. I preferred freezing my kids teething toys than using the numbing gels but sometimes they are needed. If you take your finger and rub it on his gums you will probably feel his new little teeth or tooth coming thru. Of course you want to wash you finger first. It sometimes takes alittle while for the teeth to actually cut thru hopefully your babies teeth arent that difficult. Good luck .

My son cut his first tooth at 4 1/2 months of age. If you look inside your child's mouth at their gums you will most likely see a raised white area...under the skin may be red right now but as tooth approaches they get a distinct white color ...they will drool, gnaw, run a slight fever sometimes as the tooth is coming from the gum before it even breaks through..diarrhea and diaper rash...there are many many signs..but if you already suspect a tooth then your mothering skills are right on target. Trust your instinct...give the Tylenol and if you have a teeth-er throw it in the freezer for a bit ..the cold feels great on swollen gums.

I have a little boy that turned 4 months old today. He is gnawing on his hands, pacifier, and so forth. Last night it was like an alarm clock and he wasn't able to fall back asleep after his feeding, because his gums were bothering him. Additionally, he was running a low grade fever today. From what I have heard and read, it is not unusual for babies to start teething at 4 months. Your little might be teething, however observe him closely before giving any Tylenol. You might want to feel his gums to see if you feel anything.

You son sounds like he is teething. Reach a clean finger in his mouth. Do you feel any bumps? Do you see any white lines just below the gum line?
My daughter got her first tooth at 4 and 1/2 months. She's now 7 months and has 5, almost 6 teeth.

It's possible for a child to start teething at any age. Some babies have even been born with teeth. Common syptoms of teething are excessive drooling, gnawing on things, crankiness, and pulling on their ears. I thought my daughter had an ear infection when she started teething because she was cranky and pulling on her ears. But her pediatrician told me ear pulling is one of the most common symptoms of teething because they can feel pain in their gums and it radiates up the jawline to the area of the ear.

It sounds to me like the teeth are on their way!!! Symptoms include: low grade fever, constant drooling, gnawing on everything, sniffles, and crankiness. If he seems uncomfortable, give him the appropriate dose of tylenol or motrin and rub a little baby orajel on his gums. Oh,and plenty of TLC.

It's completely possible for him to be teething. All babies develop at different rates. They're all unique. If he's drooling, his gums seem to be hurting, he tugs at his ears, is fussier than normal, then there's a huge possibility that he's teething.
