Slope = rise/run

1.) If the x coordinates are the same, there's no run. The slope is infinite/undefined (it's a vertical line)

2.) This depends on what information you're given.

3.) Yes...it could be a function of y. For example, a vertical line at x = 4 could be written as f(y) = 4. However, it cannot be a function of x.
