The uniform is kind like a French maids outfit. It would be fun to work there and just watch the waitresses in their cute outfits. They have no waiters. I have strong experience so they should hire me. When I talked to the manager she said they had no policy against hiring guys but had a uniform policy that I would have to adhere to. She even playfully pulled out one of the dresses and matching panties and asked If I wanted to try on to see how I looked?
Its okay to make girls wear silly dresses and ruffly panties like this but not guys!
This is the only nice restaurant around, what can I do ?
can she really make me wear this uniform if i get the job?
what do i do?

Say you will wear the uniform and see if she'll hire you. If she hires you, then wear the uniform, and see if she loses customers. If she loses enough customers, she'll probably make you wear something else.

I think it's reverse discrimination. By saying that you have to wear the uniform, she's trying to get you to turn down the job offer or not file a discrimination lawsuit against her.

If she doesn't hire any guys in any positions, then it's discrimination, but if she has male cooks, then I guess you'll just have to wear the uniform.

What's the name of the restaurant? If I'm ever in your town, I'll be sure to visit it.

This questions sounds very familiar, but I'll tell you what I tell the other person. Either you really need the job or you really want to dress-up as a girl or be forced to dress-up as a girl. Surely you can find another job and if you want to cross-dress go for it. But I think if you want the job & get the job, then you have to wear their uniform. I think you should give it a try, who knows, you might like working as a girl & the tips might be better if you look good. You can always look for another job, unless you really like wearing the girls uniform at work. Have fun & make the best of the situation.

She can't make you wear the uniform if you don't work there. But if it the policy of the restaurant uniforms can be mandatory (look at hooters). If you do not want to wear the uniform don't accept the job offer.

While the may say they don't discriminate guys I doubt they would make you wear that uniform, it would probably be bad for business. My guess is they probably won't hire you because you are a guy though they won't flat out say that.

No, I think it's stupid to make guys wear the same thing. We have a place in our town called Hawk's (kinda like Hooters) that the girls wear one thing and the guys wear a tshirt from whe resteraunt and black pants. Plus, I don't think her patrons will be pleased to see a man in a dress.
