The bottom line is you can get pregnant anytime, even during your period. There are times when it's less likely, but it's possible anytime. So, always use protection.

Possible, but unlikely, It depends on how long you cycle is. The average cycle is 28 days and ovulation happens approximatly 14 days after the START of your period. Ovulation will happen around the halfway point of your cycle. You can get pregnat for 3 to 7 days after you ovulate, and sperm can live in your body for up to a week too.

You can get pregnant from sex on ANY DAY of your cycle. Sperm can survive for up to seven days, so even if you haven't ovualted at the time of unprotected sex, or have just finished your period, the sperm can hang around long enough for the next egg to arrive.
If you don't want to get pregnant, use protection. Looking at a calendar will just mean you'll know exactly when you conceived.

Ovulation is not the same for everyone. Some will ovulate around the 14th day of the month and some during the last part of the month. I believe you are most likely to get PG a day or 2 before and after your ovulation day. Sperm can live for at least a day or two I believe
