I am a 19 yr old healthy female. My husband and I have been together for 2 years and we have never once used protection. I was on birth control for 3 months when we first got together but it messed up my periods so I had to go off. My periods have been regular now for about 8 months. I have had tests run to try to see what could have caused my irregular period because I was basically on a constant period when I was on birth control. We have sex often. Ok so when is the best time to get pregnant? We have been trying for a long time now.

I highly recommend charting your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.

Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

You get pregnant when you ovulate which is generally around the middle of your cycle (approx 14 days after the first day of your period but if you have a longer or shorter cycle than 28 days it may vary). You can buy an ovulation kit which will tell you for sure when you are ovulating. However, you can try these at home tips to let you know when you are ovulating.

You can also type in the date of your period (since you are regular now) and it will let you know when the best days to have sex are.

you need to have sex when you want to not him because the chemicals in your body will tell you when your ready. when your ready to conceive you will let your self know and you'll be extra horny (sorry) and then you will most likely come (again sorry) that will dip your uterus opening into the sperm and you have a better chance of conception. that will help and also the test and also counting the days as mentioned before.the thing is you'll feel better about the situation when you have control also use egg whites as lubricant (sorry but it's true) the protean helps the little guys last longer and there for you have a better chance to get pregnant. good luck future mommy

From the first day your period starts - count forward 11 days. Have sex on day 11, 13, and 15. That should be when you ovulate. You can also buy ovulation predictor kits at your local drugstore. Read the directions carefully though...they can be a little tricky.

Try having sex two or three days after your period goes off. That's how I got pregnant with my baby. Best of luck.

pamela dear, there is no such fixed time to get conceived. IF YOU believe me, it all depends on stars. IF GOD smiles, then any time you can get pregnant. SERIOUSLY, I would suggest that just before sex, you both pray to God with sincere heart and then go for a steamy sex without any tension. REST will be taken care of BY GOD...
