How exactly do you do it? I've tried twice...but every time I just stand there like "Uhhh where's my gas?" And I really feel dumb havng to go in and ask...almost as dumb as having to ask on here...

Somebody wanna give me a step by step please? I'd appreciate it...

Sad part is I've been driving for three years now and have always avoided BP because I can't get gas from them -_-

well i am a ex b.p employee and you raise the gas pump handle and puit it in your tank and then you select the grade you want by pushing on the square button then the register peeps inside and lets the cashier know you want to get gas on what ever pump then she oks the pump from inside and then if the cashier thinks you wont be a drive off she will approve your pump but if she dosent know forsure they useually make you come inside and pre pay , if you are useing a credit card you have to insert the card before you lift the handle

Put the nozzle in your tank, pull the handle on the pump up, push the button (pay inside) or (pay with credit) on the monitor (left of the price) when the pump gallons and price zeros out, pull the trigger on the pump handle. Then stop it when you're out of money.

Go to a station with modern pumps. They have a small screen that gives you step by step instructions

You've already gotten some good answers above. so I'll tell you to move to NJ. It's illegal to pump your own gas in that State.
