Does anyone else here think women's wrestling was better when the women actually... well... wrestled?

I don't know about any of you, but if I watch wrestling I'd rather see *wrestling* than a bunch of skimpily clad women trying to be sexy. The only credible women's wrestlers on RAW, the show the *championship* is on, are Mickie and Victoria, and Melina's not bad. But when did we last see Victoria? Rumor has it they want to put the title on Ashley... and now I know women's wrestling has died a horrible death, when you get a title shot for posing nude. What a wonderful judging tool.

Yes...I hear ya. ^_^ You are likely talking to one of the *last* Molly Holly fans on the planet, so yeah, I do think it rather sucks that it's all become about the fake hair and the faker breasts....

I mean, if Kelly Kelly (a.k.a. Barbie Blank) can get the job *just* for doing a swimsuit calendar....what's the point again?

Yes, the "Divas" need their own promotion, give them 30-45 minutes somewhere where they can get in a ring and *do stuff* without having to a) be bored to tears on SD! or b) get beat up by *guys* and get the boyjaw on, on RAW. Give the women a chance to actually learn some skills, since apparently it's not happening either at OVW or on those Diva Searches.

And it's time to start looking at skills again, or at least attributes *outside* of looks. Really. Can you count the number of Divas on more than one hand that actually *have* Microphone Skills? How about *moves*? Yeah, I thought so....

It's a shame too....there are women out there with the aptitude to do this stuff. But they aren't even being looked at because they don't look like *models*.

Oh well, what can you do?

If they're gonna make Ashley "the new face of women's wrestling" then they might as well have retired the belt with Trish. This push will BOMB so quick it will leave your head spinning. For one thing: Ashley isn't even that popular with the crowds and secondly she's awful in the ring.

How long do they think fans will put up with that? Lord help them if they try and do something stupid like a Mickie James heel turn. There's no way Ashley could ever be a face against Mickie. They tried to turn her last year and she got nothing but cheers as the psycho-lesbian heel. She even got cheered over Trish at Wrestlemania 22 and Trish was the most popular chick in WWE up to that point....Imagine what the crowd will do to Ashley if they feud.

Hopefully they don't do this rumored title change at Wrestlemania and make Ashley the new lead face chick.

Personally, I find myself bored by most spectator sports, with the exception of NASCAR, and am not really interested in watching conventional male or female wrestling [I logged onto this forum to post on the 'Hunting' board].

On the other hand, I'd never miss the "wrestling" events held at a local bar which features girls recruited from a local lesbian bar as the wrestlers. This "wrestling" is held in KY-Jelly, mud, whipped cream, Jell-O, and other such substances which quickly cause the thin white cotton "uniforms" issued to the participants to become see-through.

Given the fact that these girls already have a propensity for lesbianism, many of these "wrestling" matches quickly become make-out sessions between the participants who have usually lost their cloths before the first bell.

Thus, as a lonely guy, I must say that I prefer *wrestling* to legitimate wrestling.

Bring back the good old days with Chyna, Trish Stratus and Lita. My husband thinks the girls now are just sluts. The other girls were the real wrestlers that actually worked out and now they are skinny with no muscle tone whatsoever. and now they have the girls that dance on stage is this wrestling or soft porn, there are kids in the audience that want to see there heroes.

I agree 100% but it's not jsut women's division it's wrestling on a whole the woemen's titl should be vacated till there have at least 10 serious women wrestlers to fight between

DEFINATELY!!! I have been a fan for 17 years and sex has really ruined the art of women's wrestling and it is a shame because women can wrestle just as good as men. I think a lot of the blame should go to Vince McMahon. He is a jerk.

i know what you mean. i asked a question similar to this one, and guess what, alot of the guys who answered were only concerned that the women were cute. that is all that the business is about now. young, pretty faces to put butts in seats. maybe they should just retire the women's title. what is the point of having one when only 3 good women can fight for it? unless they actually get real women wrestlers, why kill the title's meaning by gigvin it to someone who doesn't deserve it?

I'm so with you on that, now not that I hate Ashley because I dont she seems really nice....but her wrestling skills are crap, why couldnt they keep Beth on there she really had potential. I want Lita, Chyna, Molly Holly (or Mighty Molly lol), and Trish to come back!

sorry to say but hardly anyone cares about women's wrestling
women in wwe are as a comodity to entertain us the male fans cuz wrestling is predominantly a male thing and women these days are used for mens amusment
i m not being sexist here but u may have noticed there is hardly any women wrestling match in wwe, i wont even mention tna cuz they dont use their women talent such as gail kim to wrestle but in wwe, women are used as valet or to do speacial strip shows for male fans like me..thats the basic truth

I think there should be WWE Divas seperated from RAW, SmackDown!, And ECW and take it's own brand, I hate that they don't show alot of Diva action on those shows
