Many times. Its very fun, and even better when the neighborhood dogs join in.

Yeah, I do. Me and my old dog have a ball! I didn't know it was relaxing, but I find it to be fun. Try giving a great horned owl hoot! Or get a predator call, and you can liven up ALL the critters in your neighborhood. Dogs will howl all night! Cats go nuts!

Be careful though, some are hunters, and can sneak up on you very quietly. Especially Mountain lions, bobcats, and coyotes.

The Zorastrians of Persia who fled to India to escape persecution from King Xerxes in 560 BCE used to CHANT at the full moon, but they did not 'howl' at the moon.

Why? It was a male fertility ritual designed to increase their sperm count and strength of their erections. True.

I have, it's really fun, especially out in the woods. It is stress relieving.

"Howl often" was one of the final recommendations Dr. Clarissa Estes wrote at the end of story-analysis book, Women Who Run with the Wolves.

I have. It was like I was searching for something primordial within and letting free if only for a moment.

OK... I did but that's because I thought I was a wolverine. And I was 6 so its partly my childish nature to do it.

I tried this one time when my dog was a puppy (American Eskimo). After a few tries he joined in. It was great fun.
