Yes you need to do whatever you can to address this issue! If your child brought it up to you then it IS a major concern, otherwise the child would have forgotten or wouldn't care to share the information with you.

Regardless weather it was done forcefully or not,Your daughter felt humiliated in front of the whole class I'm sure!
I personally would not go further simply b/c you will get the same response from the superintendent. They are all for each other.
I won't get into details but I know a story like this where the mom complained and it got so ugly that she had to remove her child from the school, and get him transfer ed to another.
Please think it through before doing anything!
Yes maybe you should go and speak to the teacher
and tell her that she might have not done it forcefully
but your daughter was hurt by her action emotionally.

It really depends on what way the teacher grabbed her arm. Has she shown you how she grabbed it? Is there a mark? I would just go and speak to the teacher and ask her what happened. If the teacher picked up her arm then put it down again without any force then I wouldn't go making a big deal about it but if the teacher was rough then I would go and see the teacher straight away.

This is a hard question to answers... I used to go to an all boys boarding school, we used to get caned for misbehaving, or not shining your shoes, untidy uniform, not doing homework, etc... They banned caning in South Africa in 1999 and since then all the schools have declined dramatically... Back to your situation, was your daughter misbehaving with her friends?? Is this teacher known for being a bully??? Has this happened to other kids in the class?? Maybe do some investigating before you take this any further... Sometimes things like this can single out a student from the class, unless the teacher was 100% wrong... That's my thought, but talk it over with your hubby.......

You don't say how old your daughter is,did she say the teacher hurt her,i don't blame you for being concern, but you also don't want to start something over nothing, monitor your child closely for the next couple weeks, ask other Mons if they know of anyone who has had a problem with this teacher,i hope it's nothing.

I would!
My 4th grade teacher once grabbed me by the arm and literaly drug me out of the classroom. If your daughter says it hurt it was forcefully and it needs to be addressed. The teacher that done that to me when I was a kid almost lost her job because she was often in trouble with how she handled kids!

No you shouldn't take it any further. If the music teacher didn't do it forcefully then your daughter's pride was hurt nothing else.

i say stay out of it, parents like this are alot of the reasons teachers hate teaching anymore . YOU dont need to interfer in little marys every problem. If the teacher didnt break her arm or hurt her than leave it be. And that was your daughters side of the story, have you heard the teachers>?

touch the faculty board or bypass to the superintendants significant place of work and document an offical complant. in spite of if the different scholars do no longer decide for to become in touch, commence right here so the incident will a minimum of be on record. it fairly is going to persist together with her whereever she is going and he or she could have alot of explaining to do if she intends to be employed as an entire time instructor. additionally, talk with your daughters instructor and request that this sub no longer be allowed in her college room.
