What did your doctor say about the leaking? Was it confirmed?
If so...
No more sex Hun. There is more of a risk of infection.
It is time to get ready to have the baby.
This is all safe when your doc says it is OK only. Just ask tomorrow in the am.
Yes you can check to see if you are dilating. I did with two of my boys at 36 weeks and on. My husband did with my third for a week every night.
Clean your hands with antibacterial soap. And you can use disposable gloves if you have fingernails. Clean nails very very well.
You may not notice anything because you have not checked before. But lets just say you are not dilated now but maybe tomorrow.
Feel the shape of your cervix. Is there still a cone shape? Is it flat? Is it softer? Can you put the tip of your pinky in the circle.
Never do it if there is any pain while doing it.
Before there were not doctors readily for women monthly, women did this all the time to see how things were coming along even 20 years ago it was done often. Just not talked about.

I wouldn't have sex if you're leaking fluid. You should call the doctor and find out whether or not they want you to go to the hospital. Having sex now could cause germs to get to the baby, which is not a good idea.
God, if you're in labor, how is it that you even want to?!?!? Are you sure you're not just leaking urine?
You can check yourself to see if you're dilated, but again, you are going to introduce germs into your vagina and that could cause problems for the baby. Are you having any pain?
Call the doctor, right away, and tell them what's going on. They'll advise you on whether or not to go to the hospital.

No sex- sorry. It could introduce bacteria that could get to the baby. Also no tub baths. (same reason.) You should have a doctor check you, because they need to monitor how much fluid you are leaking. Although the fluid renews itself, if you are leaking faster than you are replacing it, it could be very dangerous for the baby.

Stop!!! If you are leaking amniotic fluid, don't have sex. You should probably go to the hospital, especially if you're losing alot of water. You don't want a "dry birth"...Please have a DR. check if ur dilated.

If your water has broken you should be going to labor and delivery...no sex, no baths, nothing should be going up there. Sometimes I sware I could feel myself dialting, but I've heard it's not possible. No way to know though, unless someone checks.
