I like broadway musicals, interior design, fine arts, culture, fine dining, wine, philosophy, symphonies, coffeeshops, and lately I've noticed I don't really want a relationship with a man, but I like having sex with them. I am a female to male transsexual. Is it possible AFTER my transition that I like men, therefore making me a gay man?

You are a gem! Like an exquisite diamond, you have many facets to be proud of having. Don't feel confined to a single label. Instead, live outside the box and embrace all the qualities that make up you. If you feel most comfortable identifying yourself as a female-to-gay male transsexual, then live that life you were meant to live. Or, if you are also having sex with women, you might more closely identify yourself as a female-to-bisexual male transsexual.

It is possible that you like men, about 40-50% of transsexuals (both kinds) like their new gender after transitioning. The idea that to transition you have to be 100% hetro is nothing more than a myth. My advice would simply be with whoever makes you happy, after all after transitioning you should understand that the genitals don't define the person, so don't worry about if it seems gay or straight or anything, just be happy.

Somebody is becoming a living embodiment of the stereotypical gay man! I'm having similar things going the other way. All of a sudden I've developed an interest in power tools, pick up trucks, and softball. I live with 3 cats and work in a very masculine profession. To each their own I guess. Get ready for the question every gay transperson gets: "Then why are you switching sides if you like___?!?"

It's certainly possible.

I know it sounds odd- we are so stuck on the concept that sexuality is fixed- but I've actually heard that many tried-n-true, confirmed lesbians who have transitioned to become straight have suddenly found themselves sexually attracted to men. It's interesting, and I really can't quite explain it, but it definitely happens sometimes.

I don't know if I've helped you, but then again, the subject is iffy. Frankly, I'd give it a little time before you proclaim yourself as a gay man. If the feelings persist, and desires for women still aren't present, then embrace being a gay transman!

Good luck.

I have always said that there are at least 12 different genders. I'm Bi, my BF is a cross dresser and It turns me on cos he's so hot as a girl. Does that make me a lesbian? I don't think so, just some where in the grey area of sexuality.

You are mistaking class, cultural appreciation and personal taste for sexual orientation and gender-role play.

Gay men have relationships with each other. we are more than just our anal orifices, you know.
