Check that you have the latest iTunes software. iTunes 7 or later has an automatic album artwork retrieval.

You can enable this feature in iTunes Preferences:
1. Open iTunes Preferences
Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
Windows: On the Edit menu, click Preferences.
2. Click General.
3. Select the "Automatically download missing album artwork" checkbox.

iTunes will only download album artwork for songs that it can find in the iTunes Store. iTunes will check each song in your iTunes library and attempt to match it up with a song in the iTunes Store. If the data matches, iTunes will download the album artwork from the iTunes Store and add it to the song in your iTunes library. If iTunes does not find a particular song's artwork in the iTunes Store, you will not see an alert message. iTunes simply does not download artwork for that song.

Note: You must have an iTunes Store account and have logged into the account on the computer you are using. This is currently only available for countries where you could purchase songs from iTunes. I tried it from Singapore and failed.

Alternatively, you could download and installed 3rd party programs that automatically search the internet for the album art. There's a few. I prefer to do it manually, so didn't try any of those programs.

if the CD is burned....itunes will not put the CD covers on for you ...if it is a CD you bought then it should automatically put them on....that is if you have the latest version of itunes and you have it set that way....since most of my music on my i-tunes are from burned CD's that i got form friends...i had to go in a put each CD cover on myself...it sucked but every single one of my songs has a CD cover picture....to get the CD cover pictures just image google them, save them to you're computer, copy them, and paste them in you're itunes....if you want to change the picture just right click on the song, go to get info, and then go to artwork, and you can change it from there.

once you place the CD interior the pc, you flow to Import CD on the CD tab in iTunes and as quickly as you plug iPod in back, the songs will upload with album cover(different than previous iPods), sturdy success
