can you plug a pci graphics card into a laptop with an integrated graphics card?

i dont know anything about computers but i was wondering if i could plug a video card intothe pci slot instead of using the really slow integrated 1

I doubt if you could find one that would fit or connect, use a docking station if that is what you really want to do.

Hi./ Only if the card is compatible with the slot. PCI comes in two flavors, PCI and PCI express. Most newer cards are PCI e http://www.answers.com/main/ntquery?s=PCI+e&gwp=13 .
