Ann has a sense of humor. What's really funny is that I have gay friends that use the term all the time. And they are laughing more at the big story that this has generated than anything else... and they will admit that they are "drama queens" but this is nothing to get all upset about. If Ann Coulter's comments and Anna Nichole are the major news stories these days when our soldiers are dying over seas, then I no longer understand priorities of this country.

There is the right, and the extreme right. The extremists have no problem with the likes of Ann Coulter. She's a poisonous harpy and she does more harm to the Republican Party's image than good. But she talks a great, if inflammatory, game, hitting all the right rhetoric and catch phrases in between, and to some of them that is more important than common decency. There are many Republicans embarrassed about Ann Coulter, just like there are Democrats embarrassed about...wait...thinking. Damn, can't think of anyone. I honestly can't think of a Democratic pundit as low scale as that shrew Ann Coulter.

so some distance as i understand, the Dixie Chicks were in no way stated as or charged with treason. I'm a conservative, and I think what she said was wrong, but is it any worse than Clinton lying about saying he didn't inhale? I don't condone what she said, but she is exersizing her right to free speach. Which is in the constitution, one of those Constitutional rights that the Liberals keep trying to take away from us. Like freedom of religion, we used to have the Bible in the schools, and school prayer, now you can't even take a Bible into a public school anymore, and if I were a student and I prayed in a public school I get in trouble for it, becuase I'm a Christian, but a Muslim student can pray and have the Quaran with them in school. I thought when we took prayer out of school that applied to EVERYONE???? But obviously the libs don't agree with the message of Christianity and feel that we need to remove EVERY aspect of it from the public, and replace it with sex, violence and EVERY other sort of bad influence, and then we wonder why this world is going down the tubes????

Remember this, when the Bible was taken out of schools and prayer in school was taken out, teen pregnancy rates started going up, crime rates went up, and test scores went down. And now we are teaching dumbed down education to our kids. My oldest son is in the 2nd. grade, and what he's being taught in school bores him because it's not challenging anymore.

We are too worried to even challenge kids anymore. We need to wake up and realize that if we want to try to fix the problems, we need to quit throwing money at the problem but to get to the root of the problem and find a solution.

Sorry, didn't mean to rant, but I'm getting so sick and tired of the pollitical correctness and my rights being trampled on the the libs. And will do what I can to make sure when I can vote that I will vote for anyone who's NOT liberal, but conservative and has the same ideals and principals that I do.

Because the right is for free speech...as long as they are the ones speaking. But if a Liberal said the same thing, there would be no end to their screaming and outrage. (I seem to remember all the screaming when an Edwards blogger made an anti-Catholic remark, but I guess that isn't free speech) Oh the hypocrisy! :)

First, I'm a conservative and I believe what she said was wrong. Almost as wrong as Maher saying he wanted to kill Cheney.

Second, she has freedom of speech rights just like you. So she can say whatever unbelievably stupid thing she wants and it's protected by law. Don't like it? Tough.
