It was many years ago now, but I dropped out and went into the Navy at the end of grade 10.
I started College on what was then known as "individual approval". If I made a 2.0 GPA that semester I could remain.
It took me longer to graduate, but I finally did. I dropped out of high school because I hated school...so what did I become...a teacher! I am retired now.
If I can do it so can you...and I had to agree back then math does suck...but if I can do it so can you....and I didn't have a GED either.
if you can't get into a regular college or university...try one of the vocational schools like Texas State Technical College. it has a number of campuses and hundreds of fields of study.
Good luck...I know you can make it...

Go for it!
It's not going to be easy. But then again, if it were easy everyone would do it.
I commend you on your persistence. You are good at English because you read every day. Your mind is like a muscle - you exercised your language muscles. Now you must exercise your logic muscles, which govern math and sciences. I have no doubt in my mind that if you passed the GED with only a 9th grade education, and also have already passed some college level courses that you will achieve your goal.
Keep your enthusiasm... Good luck!

My mom didn't finish eighth grade. She is now an Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's in Science. She makes around 90k a year. She reads everyday too. You can do it. If your drive is strong enough. Go meet with an advisor at the college you want to go to. I suggest a community college because it's more one on one like high school. It will also prepare you for the university. You may need remedial classes but it's worth it since you didn't finish High School. Best of luck to you.

Achelios is right approximately passable tutorial progression. besides the undeniable fact that, those standards basically practice to the specific college and application you have been enrolled in. whilst you're attending a various college and additionally you're beginning a thoroughly new application (i.e. you at the instant are not shifting in credit that must be utilized on your present day application) you won't could desire to fulfill SAP standards. even in case your new college does require you to fulfill SAP, you should allure it and additionally you will possibly rather much certainly win. An allure frequently is composed of writing a letter that describes why you failed and what has replaced that makes it probable which you will possibly succeed interior the destiny. the actuality which you attended for below a short volume of time, had serious kin subjects that interfered jointly with your capacity to attend, and that 9 years has surpassed in which you have had time to mature may be grounds for approving an allure in maximum faculties. in case your allure is approved, you would be placed in a probationary status which might enable investment for one semester. in case you meet the factors on the top of the semester, you will possibly have your eligibility completely restored. you're able to desire to make an appointment to take a seat with the FA deparment on the recent college to communicate the placement, yet i think of this is probable which you would be eligible for investment, a minimum of on a probationary foundation.

Reading every day surely helps; keep it up! Just cause you didn't finish high school doesn't mean a thing. If you want to go to college and succeed, just know you can do it! Besides, college is much easier than high school.

You're on the right path. College really isn't about being smart. It's about commitment and goals. I know a lot of dumb people that made it through college out of pure effort. Just work hard and you'll be alright.

yes you can, I personally know someone who dropped out in 8th grade, and is now one year away from her PhD. She's 30, so it took her a few years to decide to do something with her life, and she has also made the National Dean's List twice, and won scholarships. So, yes, go for it.

my best advice is to go back to high school even though you're good at english. no one will look at you're applications for different jobs if they saw you dropped out of the 9th grade! the teachers in your high school will place you in the right english class and they'll also guide you to the right math class too..most teachers will help if you ask for it..especially during free times. good luck!
