Just now, on "Brothers and Sisters" on ABC television, one character called another an "a*s wipe"

since when is language like that allowed on network tv?
I'm not offended, but I am surprised. Can one say A*s hole on tv now?

yep, you can get away with just about any word except the f-bomb nowadays. i'm not happy about it either.
