You are right, you definitely do not want to use the eyelash curler after you apply the mascara, as your lashes will not only stick, they could possibly break, as mascara weakens them. What I do personally, is I "heat" my eyelash curler for a minute or so with the blowdryer and get it a little warm and it will work much better in curling your eyelashes. (Very much like hot rollers curl your hair.) Next, I would immediately apply a curling mascara and that should do the trick. The mascara that I use and highly recommend is Mary Kay brand. Well, I hope this helps you out.

My lashes do the same thing.
Try: heating your eyelash curler with the hairdryer (low heat setting) for a few seconds. Touch with your finger to make sure it is not too hot. Then curl your lashes. I start at the base of the lashes and hold for a few seconds (you don't need to hold a long time cause of the heat). Then I curl again a little before the tips of the eyelashes. Don't curl this part too hard because it will curl way too much. Now, get your mascara and apply. If you have a dryer not so new mascara use that one (kinda like a base) and let it dry, Then apply your favorite mascara.

For some reason, my lashes will always fall (go straight) if I apply mascara 1st thing in the morning. I usually wait until I'm practically at my destination to apply the mascara. (I think it has something to do with the puffiness of the eyes in the am when you wake up)

Im part asian and I have the same problem and am also a makeup artist. What I find works best is maybelline lash discovery....its a cheap mascara and works wonders. The waterproof is best to hold the curl and you must get the shu uemura lash curler

don't put on mascara immediately after curling.
curl curl curl, and wait about 5 minutes.
then curl, curl, curl and wait.
repeat a few times.
When you put on the mascara, wipe off excess into the mascara tube, then apply mascara in an upwards motion, just a few swipes.
use an eyelash comb to seperate lashes (quickly).
and wait for about 5 minutes.
That should do it!
good luck.

p.s. I think asian eyes are gorgeous with mascara and no curling. you should be proud!

I curl my lashes after mascara, if I curl them. If it sticks, then no biggie, just clean your curler.

The only wy to get it to stay is to curl it after

I think that if you curl your eyelashes and then put on a volumizing and curling mascara, you'll look even more gorgeous than you are now. I bought a great mascara and eyelash curler from Sephora.

The mascara's "thing" is that it is like paint-on false lashes. IT's also Japan's top-selling mascara

Try curling your lashes first, then put the mascara on. Try using a clear colored mascara, it doesn't weigh as much as colored mascara.

L'OREAL DOUBLE EXTENSION IS REAL GOOD. WHEN USING THE WHITE, STROKE THE BRUSH UPWARDS, WHICH HELPS CURLING THE LASHES.
IF U WANT TO USE A CURLER, WAIT TILL THE MASCARA DRIES; THAT WAY IT WONT GET ON THE CURLER :)

just curl them up and apply eyeliner. youll really never know the difference. plus with mascara you have to be aware of what you do all the time.
