Sadly he did more then people realize. Look at coke there. He ethinks that Malcolm X simply taught hate. He wasn't teaching hate. One of his better known quotes was probably the bullet for the ballot. It wasn't hatred. It was doing what HE thought it took. If you gave them the right to vote they wouldn't be using the bullet to get that right. He didn't hate whites, he hated the oppression that the majority was forcing on him and the minority. Martin Luther King Jr was using non-violence but I think Malcolm X was as important in the over all struggle. It was the problem that took both sides. Remember in the end Malcolm X was becoming lss violent and went against the Nation of Islam, who supported violence, and that was what got him assassinated.

I would say he is still remembered as someone who fought and died for his cause. However, others will remember him as the other side to the struggle - Martin Luther King was non-violent - Malcolm X preached using "any means necessary."

Although he did not have any results immediately following his protests and teachings, he spread knowledge and ethics. I myself am a true believer of his teachings
