Of course it is real. What kind of question is this.

I lived in a haunted house as a child.

I know it is real.

The field of parapsychology is real. But it is about as scientific as intelligent design. Researchers are not able to reliably duplicate their efforts. Some researches have done meta-analyses and claim to have found significant effects, but the scientific community has not as been convinced. Sceptics claim these results are no greater than chance predicts. A good example of the ongoing dispute can be scene in the Ganzfeld_experiment (see links)

You are confusing the terms, I think. Parapsychology, the study of paranormal phenomena, is very much real. Whether or not the things that appear to be paranormal actually are paranormal is still a matter of debate.

Yes it's real. It's as real as the study of any other subject. It's as real as psychology, mathmatics, geneology, archeology, etc etc etc.
Derived from the Latin word para, which means beyond, parapsychology literally means beyond psychology. It is generally defined as the scientific study of paranormal phenomena.
The word it'self, parapsychology, is in the dictionary, and it is a valid scientific study at many universities around the world to which one can obtain a degree as a registered parapsychologist..

Google the $1,000,000 James Randi Foundation's Paranormal Challenge. There are no paranormal phenomena, so far. Anyone who believes in them only has to show the evidence, and claim their $1,000,000. Can parapsychology be real if it studies that which never been demonstrated to exist? If not, then no, it's not real.

No. Its not. There may be scientists studying or supporting this but that doesnt mean Parapshychology is real. Its true that there is a lot of things which science has not been able to solve. But you see science is solving things day by day or time by time. You cant expect someone from stoneage to invent mobile phone. Detailed studies, experiments, observations, and then the confirmation. Thats the way of science. Parapshychological things such as ESP, clairvoyance are never proved in a foolproof stage and are some sort of tricks or magic not real.

Of course it's real. I consider myself one. Parapsychology is the scientific study of things that today's science cannot explain.

I believe so. Parapsychology is hard to prove, however the amount of unexplained phenomenon make it seem real to me.
