Newt Gingrich, speaking at CPAC, (the same meeting where Annie the shrieking sexophobe called Edwards a name that rhymes with maggot) blamed the residents of New Orleans' 9th Ward for a "failure of citizenship," by being "so uneducated and so unprepared, they literally couldn't get out of the way of a hurricane."

And he called for a "deep investigation" into this "failure of citizenship."

Here's the full quote:

How can you have the mess we have in New Orleans, and not have had deep investigations of the federal government, the state government, the city government, and the failure of citizenship in the Ninth Ward, where 22,000 people were so uneducated and so unprepared, they literally couldn't get out of the way of a hurricane.

And some on the right want this "fine humanitarian" to be President? Fat chance.

Newt doesn't even have the moral authority to speak for himself, much less America. And his comments testify to that.

How can one person be that depraved without consciously aspiring to it? I can't imagine what it must be like to walk around in that soulless psyche.

properly, confident, he can end the interest of destroying u . s . of america -- with the intention that we've not any midsection type, basically 1000's of tens of millions people ravenous to death interior the streets, mutually as 0.a million% very own each and everything. His settlement ON u . s . of america handed -- because of the fact democratic electorate stayed domicile. That replaced into basically between the sequence of Republican strikes that has brought about the present financial disaster, and the long-status disappearance of a snug midsection type (to no longer point out environmental destruction). The questions isn't no remember if, with a compliant Congress, Newt can get his time table by, the question is why could absolutely everyone vote for an time table that impoverishes ninety 9.9% of the inhabitants, and leaves us no longer something placed poisonous water to drink, and deadly sludge to respire?

I have learned a lot on this site but one thing stands out most , we have some really stupid people who try to answer a question and don't know squat about what they are talking about,
It is obvious Gingrich is a very intelligent person, and very well informed, and from this statement he sounds like a honest person, god, what would we do if some how we got a honest person in the pres, office, and a intelligent one also? hell we may even be able to recapture our rightful place in the world as a leader, now wouldn't that be nice??? I have just decided if he runs he will get my vote and others that I can convince of his ability, thanks for your post, it really is a good one.

He was saying that the government failed to educate the people on what to do when a hurricane comes and that failure is called a failure of citizenship.

And yes I would vote for Newt if he runs.

Only if its got down to him or Hillary, then it would be him. But, I'm still hoping someone better then Newt or Hillary are running in the home stretch. I, for some reason, remember a story about Newt, divorcing a wife when she had been diagnosed with cancer. If, that is true, he is no one I would put any faith in.

He would make a very good president. He was right. The people of New Orleans had over a weeks notice that a severe hurricane was coming. He nor anyone else should be held accountable for the unwise decisions of STUPID PEOPLE.

Don't really care if he runs for Prez, but what's wrong with the quote? Sometimes the truth hurts. People need to quit feeling sorry for themselves (and stop waiting for help) and be proactive in fixing their lives. This "woe is me" BS is a major reason for this country's demise, and something that Libtards everywhere love to use as a tool to rip the right........and unfairly so. People need to quit blaming all the time and step up to the plate.

Apparently you just don't get it. He didn't call the people stupid, he referred to them being so unprepared because of the liberal stranglehold that has kept them in such darkness, that they literally couldn't save theirselves. It was a tragidy that shouldn't have happened, it wouldn't have happened if the slavers weren't in control in New Orleans!

He's exactly right. Who the heck just sits there and does not try to help themselves? This country was not founded on people who just sit there and wait for someone to come help them.

I didn't until you told me he had said that. Every other state seems to be able to evacuate and deal with hurricanes, I never could figure out why Louisianans were so stupid as to not see a whole hurricane coming at them.
