My mom always wants me to wear things I consider "too old" but, she says I wear clothes that are "teeny bopper" clothing. (It's a 50-60's term for young teen). I don't want to hurt her feelings but, I hate the clothes she picks. However, maybe I do dress too immaturely and nobody will take me seriusly as an 18 yr. old.

when choossing clothes, choose ones that you like....don't wear clothes that others pick if you dont like them...i think that clothes describe who you are as a person and you should be able to express yourself....though if you're wearing clothes that seriously dont fit you're age...(like 50 yr old women wearing so short shorts that their butt is hanging out, is not ok)....also if you look like a bum all the time isnt ok either...if ur worried about not being taken seriously as 18 yr old, then shop at stores that sell clothes that dont make you look like a grandma but at the same time dont make you look like you're 14....most of all pick clothes that YOU like.

Just be yourself, because if you try to be someone else, you probably won't really like it all that much.
