Silent programs on your computer is a start. Get a program that can manage starting and running programs. Think of it this way... RAM is Random Access Memory. You may also look for a program that can defragment system memory(not to be confused with a drive defragger).

You are running a whole load of background programmes your system uses ram to manage all the operations on your pc. If you click on start click on run and type msconfig in the box and click OK you will access system configuration and will see all the programmes which are running at startup. Just because you can't see them don't mean they ain't running!

Hi. Because 400,000 are already in use. Add up the programs memory usage and you will see it's about .4GB. You can stop some processes if you need more RAM.

One thing is that windows only recognizes the first 750 GB's.
Also, you probably need to get rid of some programs that you really do "not" need. Its nice to see all those programs that are loaded on but
U need the room so get rid of some of them.
That will help you a lot.
also, get more ram. !!
