Does V exist or is he an idea? I would argue that he's not a real person, and that Evey is the terrorist who imagines herself in a relationship with V. She's lonely (not believable -- it's Natalie Portman! -- but anyway), has access to all of the places where V supposed commits his crimes, etc. What do you think?

Interesting theory. I think I'll watch it tonight with that in mind.
It's a great movie.

Very interesting theory. Reminds me of 'Identity' and the French film 'High Tension'. But unlike those 2 films, 'V...' does not suggest this in any way, not even in Special Features. So I'm led to believe that this is not the case. Not to mention that "V" is based on a comic book character that's been out for years, so we know he's real and not an alter-ego of Evey.

i believe that v was very very real. he terrorized all of london, and i think the film makers would have been smart to clue the audience in if he wasn't real.
