The problem is not the people, the problem is you. I think you are either not taking it in or you are in denial, maybe subconsciously hoping that someone will say something that you can interpret as justification for your behaviour. The fact is that your behaviour will not get better with time, only worse, and the only person who can do anything about it is you.
There is an old saying about not being able to see the wood for the trees and it does not automatically follow that because someone recognises a flaw in other people that they can see it in themselves. Well, I want you to look at the second last sentence in your question and ask yourself if you really need an answer shoved into your face.
I really wish you luck because I have been on that road you are on and my story is irrelevant, but believe me when I tell you that it is best that you get off it now, because there is a bad pile-up just around the corner. Please excuse all cliches.

Not at all. Just don't drink so much and you'll enjoy the time a lot more. I generally drink 2 or 3 beers in an evening out so that I remain a qualified observer and participant and always have a good time, especially if the right people show up.

I have had many a morning of horrible hung-over flashbacks.. *shudders* Dancing stupidly, fighting with your friends, hitting on the bartender, stealing hotdogs from the petrol station.. they all SEEM like a good idea when your wasted.
Not so much anymore though. I only go to bars where i like the scene.. so it's less likely i'll end up making out with someone i wouldn't come within 3 feet of in daylight, and i avoid shots...
This seems to have really livened up my mood on sunday mornings!

Sometimes bars can be fun but obviously the people there are not always the type that are nice to meet.
Why not join a sports club or go somewhere where drinking is not the main event?

l've never been to bars and l don't drink,either.
There are others like you who feel that way the next morning after drinking and having fun.
lt's good that you realized it won't benefit you in the long run. Continue the good habit.
