You may have a bad floppy. Hopefully you still have it on hard disc?

If you saved it in WordPerfect, make sure you open it with WordPerfect, otherwise it may show up weird in other programs, or it may not show up at all. But otherwise, you might have a bad floppy disk, or the data got corrupted.

Sounds to me it's an issue with Microsoft Word not being on the computer or choosing all files while opening up the files on the floppy disk.

The disks are fine but you can't open the files?

Try copying your file onto the computer first then opening it from there. if it can't be copied, then it's definitely lost (sorry to say~).

Advice for the future work: Use a pendrive. It's bigger, much more efficient and even lower chances of losing data.
