Does anyone have any idea what social security pays to the surviving parent of a minor child? His income was around 45K? The surviving parent does not work.

THAT DEPENDS UPON HIS TOTAL YEARS OF EARNINGS
AND HIS PAYMENTS INTO SOCIAL SECURITY...

SS ADMIN WILL HANDLE THAT.

HE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A YEARLY STATEMENT STATING SUCH BENEFITS ..

ALL WORKERS ARE SUPPOSE TO.
IF ONE DOES NOT-THEY SHOULD APPLY FOR THEIR YEARLY SOCIAL SCTY STATEMENT...

He has to have worked for a certain length of time, so many quarters and then they will go by how much he's paid into it.
