Nope it's just a myth, the real Mary died many years ago but her case was never closed, however she really had no reason to come back and haunt since the lady that did her in died too. The reason they say she will appear in a mirror is mainly because she was supposidely killed by bieng thrown into a glass mirror, but the truth is she was locked away by her care-taker and was confined to live out her life in the dakr-damp cellar forever. Bloody-Mary has become a famous alchohol beverage and ever since then it has been nothing more than that. I closed the investigation on her because there have been no reports of people really bieng killed by the apparition of Mary.
So there ya go, no need to fear. It's not been proven to work and it's just an old myth to scare kids.

It's Bloody Mary. The legend is based on an actual queen of England, Mary I. She was the older daughter of King Henry VIII. She wanted the country to go back to Catholicism, so she chopped off a lot of heads and burned a few people at the stake, earning her her nickname.

Queen Mary is "Bloody Mary". People just turned it into one of those "candyman" myths. I wouldn't suggest trying it in the mirror though, be careful what you wish for...

No she's not real! She's fiction. Simply a character in a movie that scares the crud out of people.
