If you don't want the job then turn it down.
Charge at least $10/hr.
Charge your actual expenses for fuel. Use an estimate such as 45 to 50 cents a mile for gas, oil, wear and tear.

Based on the economy of your vehicle, you should, baseline, be reimbursed for expenses; about 16 miles city driving would equate to 1.5 gallons of gasoline, about $5.00 per trip ($25.00 per week).
Your qualifications come into play when determining an hourly rate. If you have experience in the field, no criminal convictions, and great personal hygiene, you can realistically charge $8-15 per hour; above minimum wage but not requiring post-high school studies.
A nine hour workday (45 hours per week), would equate to $450 per week @ $10 per hour plus gasoline = $475 per week. If the kids are total brats, I would tack another $50-75 on the total.
I would say your range is $425 - $575, which is a pretty good amount of money without taxes.

The going rate here In Michigan is $125 per child full time with a 10% discount for more than one child in a family. Which means
$125 (first child)
$112.50 (25.00 - 12.50 = 112.50 for the 2nd child)
Total is now 237.50
Gas mileage which you can deduct from your taxes. If you want to charge for that, I'd recommend about 48 cents per mile. That would be .48 * 32 = 15.36 per day. or 76.8 per week.
That is up to $314 per week.
I hope that the parents can afford that amount as that is a LOT to pay for daycare compared to what they may be making in income.

approved daycares can charge $one hundred fifty.00 even though it truly is in a great number of cases for a 5 days a week 6:00am to 5:30pm day. 3 days and seven hours an afternoon for 2 youthful ones ...i'd be prepared to pay someone between $ninety-$one hundred.00 a week.

You are entitled to $0.48.5 a mile, $38.80 a week for transporting this little girl to preschool and back. I do not know what kind of arrangement you and the mother have made in regards as being paid in cash and if you file what she pays you on your income tax. I would charge $5.00 an hour for the one and $8.00 a hour for the two plus the mileage.
I make $550.00 weekly, for 45 hours, plus $200.00 a weekend if worked, plus mileage, but I am a professional nanny with medical training and have an associates in business as I also do their household management plus have legal guardianship with power of attorney for the two boys.

Add the approximate cost of cab fare to your regular hourly fee....may be a little extra for providing this service. Your client would be paying that OR having to do it themselves. Don't be a walk-over. Be businesslike.....and who is looking after your other charges while you are driving around?? Are you having to turn away business because of this situation? What does that cost you??
May be you need to learn a new word?: no
It's your call - hope this and above great comments from others help.

You shouldn't have to pay for gas. In fact they should even pay you a little for using your own car. Besides those I'd charge at least $10 an hour for two kids.

I would say 40 or 50 a day. Especially if they don't send her meals, if they do, maybe 35.
