Dry skin in winter time, you need to keep lotion on your hands, also you can rub vaselline on them, and use the white gloves , that you can wear when going to bed, to help keep moisture in your skin. Washing hands and drying them a lot will cause this also... Please wash hands, but apply lotion to them, the therma olay cream is good, it provides moisture, but don`t leave your hands greasy/ Good Luck!

Maybe your skin is dry. At this time of year, when our heaters are being used a lot, the moisture in our homes and businesses are being sucked dry. That is why it is essential to put moisture back into the air with cool mist humidifiers. Having houseplants help a little. The moisture is being sucked out of our skin (for lack of a better term) After bathing, pat yourself barely and then apply a good lotion or oil.Especially at night. Drink more water. Our bodies really need it now. If you do it right, your skin will just stretch and not break open. Eating salmon and tuna or taking omega-3 vitamins is also great for your skin.

The reason why this happens is because you have dry skin. I also get this, especially when I work out out-side. I would recommend that you put a few squirts of moisturizing lotion on about two times a day. The little cuts should go away pretty fast. And your hands won't itch as much either, if they do.
