I went through this myself. I started by packing it with house insulation fibreglas. It blew out after 20 minutes. Then I tried packing it with steel wool. That blew out after 1 hour. Finally, I used steel kitchen scouring pads. The heat and pressure generated by four strokes is rather surprising.
