Are we Americans prentend being happy just to make our family and friends happy?Sometimes I feel like we all feel a little lost in this world.What do you think?

I think a lot of Americans do pretend to be happy just to make other people happy. It's that some are worried about what others will think of them if they let loose and do what they really want to do.

I'm happy, I do get a little lost sometimes but eventually we all end up where we are supposed to be.
Happy is what you make it.

we 'think' we are happy .. but we are not.
we are too materialistic.. man made objects dont make people happy .. we think they do.. we suffer more from depression and over eating then any other country.
we have forgotten what 'life' is
