Vietnam was the first war ever fought without any censorship. Without censorship, things can get terribly confused in the public mind.

Censorship is bull

I do agree that there is no place for hate speech or obscene pornography have to place. Generally the things that 99% of us would be offended by should not be accessed with such ease.

However with regards to our regular consumption, I believe it is up to use as the consumer to decide what we should and should not be viewing or hearing.

If a parent is too irresponsible to monitor their children and they are therefore exposed to offensive material I do not believe the average and more mature consumer should be denied the material.

Except for child pornography, there should be no censorship. What a person reads or watches is his own business.

The question seems contradictory in the USA legally as we have freedom of speech.
Ideally no country would have censorship of any kind.
