i don't think its very appropriate for a teacher to say that to you weather its true or not

That was probably very kind in respect to what he was really thinking....probably would like to tell you to shut your big mouth and stop disrupting the class with your big ego that has to be constantly fed...sound's like he did it in a very nice way in my opinion. Hey I have an idea...why don't you start being respectful when you are in class...then maybe you will receive the same in return.

Yah, for a teacher to say it that is pretty rude, I didn't now that teachers were that outspoken. He is probably just letting you know , that he doesn't want you to talk in his class, but he coulda been nicer, I agree.

No, it's not rude. If you spend the whole class talking instead of paying attention, I'd say he's in the right on this one.

Not rude, infact it seems to be a a form of constructive criticism.... i guess he could always reflect negatively on your grades the fact you must seem disruptive to his class or as you put it in other classes.

He could have been more tactful, but really he wasn't any ruder than you were if you were talking while he was trying to teach.

That is rude. Why be insulting? You should ask him what sort of joy he gets in being rude to others.
