My neighbor says if you use your laptop a lot it could over heat without a cool mat.

I bought one a few months ago after having had my laptop for almost 4 years. It was definitely worth the money because my laptop would get really hot. It even shut down a couple times on its own because it over heated. Since I bought the cool mat, it hasn't done it once. It has kept my lap a lot cooler and my computer running more smoothly. I would recommend one!

they're all very hit or omit. I actual have a sparkling pc which will overheat if I dont have something below it at circumstances, yet which one you get is irrelevant. all of them suck.

i have one right now, they work. I never had a problem before with it overheating though, but it could affect a desk if the desk is wood.
