Not at all. Of course, this depends on what your definition is of "bad." It's too much of a generalization for me. Bad choices for YOU would have "bad" consequences, i.e., bad + easy = bad. In any choice, evaluating the possible outcome is the most important thing you can do, & if that's easy or not--for you--it's up to you to decide.

Edit: Well, put me in a box & FedX me to hell! I thought this was the PHILOSOPHY section. Not the personal/moral section.

Of course. The bad choice is always the easiest.

Life is set up on a natural "learn as you go" program. The more difficult the choice, the harder the proper path. As you stumble through, you learn something along the way. So by making the right choice and putting the effort through to see that decision out - you become a better person.

Those that always take the easy way out are generally operating with limited intellect from conistently always taking the easy way out. While those that choose the hard way, are generally very well connected and grounded in reality from a life of learning from their successes and failures.

If the bad choice was not the easiest then we probably wouldn't even consider it in a normal situation. When it is the easiest choice thats when we notice it and think about it.

not in my life.
but often the easy choice is a short-term payoff
(i can procrastinate and have ease now but my homework won't be done later).
the harder choice in the moment often leads to a better payoff in the long run (when i practice i do better then i get chosen and get a scholarship)
it might seem easy to lie to avoid immediate consequences (i did not wreck the car) but it actually is harder in the long run (when somebody looks at the car it will be obviously wrecked and harder than if you'd told the truth)
but by now in my life honesty and putting in the effort really seem like the easiest choice to me. because i don't want to end up without money to pay rent and being on the street. living in a house is 'easier' for me. so i make the effort it takes to make that happen.

More often than not.

"Taking the easy way out" never makes you a better person. Yes, you may make your way through and feel okay about it, but in order to reach your full potential you have to work for it, and work is hard. This applies to beliefs, values, schoolwork, relationships, careers, physical fitness, and anything else that involves guidelines that aren't necessarily comfortable. Of course it's the hard road to follow, but you have something positive to show for it in the end.

Blessings

TRUNKS.
No, it may appear to be the easiest but for those w/a conscience, making a "*bad*" choice is actually quite difficult. Easy for some, hard for others.

It is easier to let a rock fall than to hold it up. Morality is a body that is constantly bombarded on all sides by limited hindsight and newly created impulses. Hold to the middle way with unshakeable strength, avoid vice and cultivate virtue, for the only function of adversity apart from discipline and correction, is punishment.

I'd have to say no...the bad choice really makes eveyr thing you do harder...bad choices always irritate your concience and you'll get sleep deprived, and sick, and so on. Regret....the g word..forgot what it's called actually...it's not greif...but..I'd say so, one lye leads to another, untill your worlds a lie. smoking can kill, and drugs...marrying someone, not because you love them..you'll be miserable..you know...that stuff....and what goes around comes back around...
