Yes, you can download free songs on Limewire, and other stuff too. I don't recommend to use Ares, beacuse it has more spyware, than Limewire. In addtion. it's illegal to download any copyrighted songs, and others from the internet. Excluding using iTunes, or other sites that you have to pay.

Everything on Limewire is 100% free, and Limewire itself is legal (for now, I think?)
Although you should beware that many of the mp3 files on Limewire has been pirated, and is protected by the appropriate Copyright laws of the country they were recorded in.
Play it safe, and buy the CD, or look it up on iTunes Music Store.
