No.I think you can have whatever pet you want. There is nothing weird about having a mouse as a pet.

Not at all! Rodents make wonderful pets! I have several in the form of chinchillas and a guinea pig.
I had a spiny mouse (RIP Henry David) and he was a social little bugger. Used to sit on my shoulder and snack while I watched tv. Spiny mice do not smell like fancy mice do. I would love to get another spiny mouse someday!

No way, I've had a couple of pet mice over the years. They are sweet little pets. My Janie came when I called her, loved to snack off my food and watch TV with me. They are smart little buggers, though a little stinky.

not at all, me and my fiance have a pet rat that we just got not to long ago, and I wished I had one a long time ago, he is so much fun, smart and attached to us, he enjoys exploring and will sit on my shoulder while i walk around. i would definetly reccomend a rat or mouse. have fun and remember they like to explore and have places to hide and chew on cardboard, so save your paper towel rolls and just put them in there, they will play and chew on them, larger cages work best, we have two bird cages with places for him to climb up and he seems really happy.

have fun with your new pet, hope you enjoy it like i do.

No, not any more so than a tarantula. Just depends on what you prefer.

Good Luck with which ever you decide on.

Yes, unless you want to come down with HantaVirus. That is a killer, it comes from mice. No inoculations against it. You die. Bye.
