You will likely get a pelvic (internal) exam & cultures for STDs, etc, possibly a PAP smear if you haven't had one in a while
.
Drink a lot before you go because they will likely draw blood and plus they will collect urine to look for sugar and protein in your urine.
They will also weigh you and check your blood pressure.
Also they will take a history. You should find out as much as you can about your medical history, that of your family members, and the history of your spouse's family.
Also they ask about your ethnic background (you and hubby) because there are certain illnesses that are more prevalent depending on your ethnic background.
Some doctors also do an early ultrasound (it would have to be a transvaginal ultrasound in your case) because you are only 6 weeks. Doesn't hurt or anything -- its just like they stick a microphone inside of you. The results help them "date" the pregnancy and estimate the due date.
Good luck!

Family history will be the big part of this appt. You will most likely have a blood or urine test to verify pregnancy. You will be able to ask any questions you might have and you MIGHT have a ultrasound to verify pregnancy. That might be at your next appt though.
