Hi everyone,

I have problem making friends throughout my life. I made some good one and some bad one, but the problem is that when I move in to a new school I become shadow. I don't talk very much and I'm pretty much shy and quiet on everything. I try joining clubs but it didn't work out. I try to strike up a conversasion but its always end up a boring dull way... quiet and nothing to talk about. I don't really hang out that much because no one ask me and I felt like I'm missing out a lot in the world. II help people a lot in hoping I become close friend but I'm clinging little hope as possible I have. Right now... to say it short... I'm lonely and missing out a lot. Have any idea on solving this long long situation?

PS: I have friends to hang out but usually we don't hang out and I try asking them to hang out but never work. Also I need help on trying to make girl as friends.

hello person.
you seem insanely like myself.
i just started at a new school this year and i felt completely out of place. everything i said came out wrong, nobody understood me, noticed me, wanted to talk to me.
i was alone.
i got through it by staying confident in myself.
do you have a hobby? for me its music. i wore a fall out boy shirt and this girl started talking about them to me.
i know its hard and i wish i could help.
i dont mean to weird you out or anything but you can contact me through aim or myspace if you'd like and i'd be more than happy to talk to you :]
i know about all these internet stalkers and crap so its up to you whether or not you feel safe so if not i wish you the best of luck and i'll have my fingers crossed for you :]

Maybe you could start with activities outside of school. What are your hobbies and interests? Try finding groups that participate in these activities. Or try a new activity. There are groups out there for everything - from knitting to Star Trek fans to cars. If you can find a group that interests you it will become easier - especially if you are participating in some sort of activity - lends itself to less awkward silences. And remember to relax - it's hard, I know, but that way you don't come on too strong.

the first thing about making friends is that you cant be too shy because most of the time people won't come up and talk to you so sometimes you have to be the bigger person and introduce yourself to them...and if you're going to a new school you cant just sit in a corner and not try to make friends...the second thing is getting to know people...so you say that when you talk to people that the conversation ends up dull and quiet...my suggestion to you is try to find something about the person that you have in common, try asking their interests to see if you have the same interests...also if you see people talking that you don't know and out of nowhere you come and add you're two cents...it may make them mad or make them give you weird looks because you interrupted their conversation, so try and avoid that....most of all when meeting new people and trying to make new friends just be yourself...cause if you're fake people will see that and not like you...as for girls like i said just be yourself...and make sure that you get to know them well before professing your love to them....for me it makes it awkward if you find out that a guy likes you.. and you've only know him for a couple of weeks...also don't be afraid to talk to people, cause you will never make friends if you are afraid to talk to people.

if you want a girl as a friend just be your self. if they dont like you like that then they dont really like YOU. it would also help to be funny(but not corny).hope this helps
