before his injury u had to give it to Yao hands down....he was dominating the post for the rockets. dont listen to others cause Yao was doing it all this year....since the injury though other C's have lifted games....Amare is fantastic, and so is Dwight Howard. theyre constant double doublt threats and with their quickness and size they are trouble to defend

i would say wilt chamberlain he scored 100 points as a center. but on the other hand theres yao ming. Indeed, the dominating scoring big man in the middle is a dying breed, but Yao Ming refuses to lay down softly and go the way of the Thighmaster. Face it people, Yao is here to stay unlike the Suzanne Somers product and he is undeniably the best center in the NBA. In his four games last week, Yao scored no less than 32 points in each contest and was feeling it so much he even attempted a trey from downtown! He miseed, but that’s about the only shot he’ll ever clang off the rim. And unlike other players that make a living down in the post, Yao hits his free throws allowing him to accumulate points from the charity stripe. Obviously, hold on to Yao like your league championship depended on it because it just might.

Before Yao was hurt he was avg. 27 pts and 9 rebs., no doubt he was the most dominant center in the nba. Right now, i think that amare stoudemire is the best center right now, he is avg. almost 21 pts and 10 rebs. per game. He is getting back to his old self and that would help the suns challenge the Mavs for the western conference.

dwight howard and tyson chandler are the best rebounders, and amare isnt a pure center...d howard probably because he scores and rebounds double figures every night and is as big as a barn. yao is up there when he isn't hurt, but he's still kind of soft i think.

When the games important, the big Diesel is still the man everyone else hates to play against. Shaq remains the most dominant C in the league. (what, you thinking maybe E Curry???)

Shaq is good on offense but not so great on defense. Yoa Ming isn't even playing right now. Ben Wallace is really good at defense.
