Glaus for Wright is this a fair trade. I need a shortstop and Glaus is ss eligible plus my backup 3 baseman isnt awful in Crede.

Well, if what you need is a shortstop, you might look for someone with good runs and stolen bases. Perhaps Hanley Ramirez or Derek Jeter or Jimmy Rollins. But if you need the power, get Miguel Tejada or Michael Young.
But I have to admit that Wright is a very, very good player. Thus, you should include him with one of your unnecessary players and plug in any holes in pitching, etc.
Good luck!!

I would re-offer this trade or make a counter offer (I don't know which side offered it) and instead of just getting Glaus, I would try sending Wright and one of your weaker starting pitchers for Glaus and a starter that would improve your staff overall. Because you're right, Crede is a good third basemen but I definately would not do Glaus for Wright straight up.

if u need a shortsotp, it would be better to get a hanley ramirez or jimmy rollins instead of glaus. furcal, tejada, and jeter could also be options. i personally wouldn't give up wright, but w/ crede i guess he may be expendible. i would trade wright for (in this order of priority):
1) Jeter
2) Hanley Ramirez
3) Rollins
4) Tejada
5) Furcal
6) Michael Young
7) Carlos Guillen
8) Troy Glaus.

I don't like glaus' batting average or steals, so i just can't have him that high. You should be able to get Jeter straight up for wright.

I wouldn't trade David Wright if I were you, he's top 3 3B and should be untradeable.
