My laptop works fine for about 15 minutes and then the fan will start to blow very loudly and only stops once I turn it off. I don't want to pay $$$$$. Is this something I can fix myself?

I generally only run one program at a time and my LCD setting is pretty dim as is. The laptop worked fine for a year and then the program started occurring.

It is dissipating excess heat, that is the way it is designed. You can go into power options in the control panel and turn down LCD brightness and CPU speed, but you will see a performance decrease.

Chances are good it is working the way it should if it's not squealing loudly.

Over time dust builds up inside our computers. It collects on all the components, especially the fans. This causes heat buildup and the fans have to work harder to keep things cool. This is especially the case in laptops because everything is crammed in so tight.

So, get yourself a can of compressed air, for cleaning computers, and blow out all the ports and fan access holes as best you can. That should help.

If it still continues, find a qualified technician to open it up and clean it out for you. That should not cost too much and will help the performance and life of your laptop.

Hope that helps.

Buy a laptop cooling fan. My laptop does the same thing, sometimes the fans blow fast and sometimes slow. It depends on the CPU temperature.

So the cooling fan should do the trick.

After time the interior the workstation will start to place across at the same time diverse dirt indoors which will then be everywhere in the blades of the fan and around it. in case you're experienced then attempt taking the workstation aside and removing the dirt distant from the fan or you need to purchase a can of compressed air (with a small nozzle) and spray it into the vents (the region the fan is blowing out of, even because of the fact the workstation is grew to alter into off). interior the journey that they don't paintings then you would desire to verify on a sparkling fan.

The fan blows at the speed it requires so the computer doesn't overheat. Try to limit the programs you used at one time or clear some room on it.

The fan speed usually depends on the heat of ur cpu. Its best if u use it in a cool area. IF u dont have an A/c in ur room, let ur room fan blow near it soit helps keep it cool. I hope this info helps. Cheers!
