crocodile's tend to be bigger, have longer and narrower snouts. plus a croc has one tooth sticking up throuh its top jaw from tis bottom jaw, alligators teeth that show only point down. alligators are scavengers crocs are carnivores. in general they don't even live in the same areas.

The easiest way to tell them apart is the narrow, angular snout of the crocidile versus the wide, rounded snout of the alligator. There are other differences, but this visual clue is the way you can tell them apart.

an alligator is spelled A-L-L-I-G-A-T-O-R and a crocodile is spelled C-R-O-C-O-D-I-L-E. see the diffrence?
