When should I buy my pig to take and sell at the fair around the end of August?

And what else should I know about raising pigs to take them to the fair to be sold. This is my first year doing this.

are you involved in AG??? It would help majorly!!! All of my cousins are in AG and they have pigs. IT depends on what kind of pig you are getting to when you need to buy it. I would suggest buying it as soon as possible becasue in AG right now they have just started showing so hurry up and get that piggily wiggily!!
