I have an ATI All-In-Wonder 9600. When I hook up a monitor, the display is perfect. However, when I hook up a TV using the composite video input, I get many lines moving bottom-to-top through my display. My TV only shows these lines when I have the computer display running to it. I'm sure that it it a resolution issue, but I don't know what to use? What refresh rate should I use? I have a Panasonic TAU 27". Any help? Thanks in advance.

The image on the screen has a relationship with your resolution settings. Although all S-Video outputs use a fixed low resolution to maintain compatibility with your TV, it scales according to what the resolution of your computer is set to. Adjust your resolution in the settings tab of your display properties. Use a selection no higher than 800 x 600 with 16-bit color. A setting of 640 x 480 will be much easier to see, but icons and windows will appear very large.

How close is your pc monitor to the television? It could cause interference. Try turning off your pc monitor and see if it continues. Also make sure that the cable is good quality. Other than that, most televisions will dislplay 1024 x 768 at 60hz. You may be able to force different settings, but at your own risk. I use s-video out my laptop to my plasma at those setting and it looks perfect except the desktop is a little blurry. Games and movies look great. Also ati has an adjustment for flicker removal.

A standard resolution television usually has a resolution of
720 x 480.

Nvidia has an "Anti-Flicker" setting in the control panel. ATI should have one as well.

It does say helping 1080p and x1200, yet should be for video and examine out merely. it truly is an previous layout of motherboard that would opt for portraits drivers as a lot as date. Your 19 inch diagonal television seems to help decision 1440 x 900. easily, 1080p is faulty and would have conversion themes.
